I have started this new blog because I'd like to get back into some art communities, and this is my first step. It is going to take me a while to photograph some of my art dolls, but in the meantime I'll upload some that I already have on the computer.
This is Fae, a little air dry clay creation with Tibetan lambs wool hair.

This is Peter, a little needle felted rabbit, with a air dry clay face and little clothes made from felt.
This an altered plastic doll that I painted to resemble a porcelain doll. The clothes are made from fabric scraps that I aged to give this little girl a vintage look.
This is an altered art doll that I made. The head is from a vintage porcelain doll and the body is an old vintage tin.
I even enjoy playing with paper dolls from time to time.
When I was a child I loved making peg dolls with my sisters. This little fairy is very different to those dolls, but a tribute to them. She is made from a peg (of course) with a charm for her face and her wings are made from a painted and stiffened venise lace butterfly motif.
